A hydraulic rotary actuator converts fluid pressure directly into rotational motion, delivering enormous torque from a compact, sealed package. Where gearmotor or cylinder-and-linkage arrangements run out of space, stall under shock loads, or drift under holding loads, a rotary actuator does the job with fewer parts and less maintenance.
